This project was one of the biggest disappointments of my career. I spent the best part of a year with legendary swimmer Ross Edgley as he prepared to take on a marathon swim of 32 days from Australia to Lord Howe Island. Funded by Nat Geo it invloved putting together a team of ex SAS ocean operations experts and a ship to support Ross and a team of 30 people. Sadly it was scuppered on the day of departure by ship issues and the worst storm and flooding in 1,000 years in Eastern Australia.
